Berberine is an alkaloid present in several plants such as Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Oregon grape (Berberis aquifolium), Barberry (Berberis vulgaris) and Chinese Goldthread (Coptis chinensis). Berberine is poorly absorbed across the gut wall and therefore high doses must be taken to achieve therapeutic results. In addition, Berberine is degraded by stomach acids. Berberine TPGS is encapsulated in delay release (DR) capsules to minimize the impact of stomach acids. It also contains a support blend that significantly improves absorption, bio-availability and utilization.

Adults take 2 capsule 1 time per day. Take without food (preferably take on an empty stomach).

If you have hypoglycemia, hypo-tension or if you take medicines for diabetes, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If you have leukopenia, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. If you have cardiovascular disease, a liver or kidney disorder or diabetes, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
