Using 1 Kg (2.2 lbs) of recycled polyethylene plastic instead of producing new polyethylene plastic reduces carbon dioxide emissions by at least 1.5 Kg and crude oil consumption by 2 Liters.
If You Care Recycled Kitchen Bags are made from the starch of non-GMO potatoes, and blended with a compostable polymer. The potatoes used are grown for starch only and not intended for food, so they require no irrigation, only natural rainfall, which is better for the environment and creates a stronger bag.
